According to the flesh in this earthly world, we are the descendants of Adam. He was created by God with the dust from the earth. Therefore, the flesh of us will finally return to the earth as that of Adam.

In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”(Genesis3:19 NKJV)

Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.(Ecclesiastes12:7 NKJV)

Jesus became the flesh and dwelt among us in the world in order to save us. The flesh of Jesus was crucified for redeeming us from destruction(death). Through dying with Jesus, we shall also resurrect with Jesus.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.(John1:14 NKJV)

Therefore, as we are baptized into Jesus, we are crucified with Jesus. For if we are baptized into the death of Jesus, we shall also live with Jesus.

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? ...For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, (Romans6:3,5 NKJV)

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. We will also die since Jesus died. His flesh did not see corruption and was raised the third day in the spiritual body. Thus, our flesh will also be raised in spiritual body.

he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. (Acts2:31 NKJV)

That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. We receive the new life in spirit when we are born of the Holy Spirit. This is the rebirth from the Holy Spirit but not from the flesh. After being reborn, the spiritual life will no longer die. But the flesh will still see death.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.(John3:6 NKJV)

Therefore, as is our rebirth when we are baptized with water and the Holy Spirit. The rebirth including the baptism with water and the Holy Spirit is to make our spirits but not flesh be born again.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.(John3:3-5 NKJV)

After we are born of water and the Spirit, we still live with flesh body. So there would be battle between the spirit and flesh lusts. In this war, we shall reply on the Holy Spirit to win until the coming of Jesus.

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, (1 Peter2:11 NKJV)

let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.(James5:20 NKJV)

Gradually, the outward man is being decayed with the failing heart. Death is the ending of the flesh. But for us who are in Jesus, the inward man is being renewed day by day.

My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.(Psalms73:26 NKJV)

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians4:16 NKJV)

The corruptible flesh cannot inherit the incorruptible kingdom of God. That's why God prepare for us the spiritual body. We will receive this new(spiritual) body when we resurrect from our first death.  But if persons still alive when Jesus come, they will not experience the first death that the spirit leaves the flesh body but their flesh body will be directly changed into the spiritual body.

And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. ...For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians15:49-50,53 NKJV)

What kind of body we will have after being raised? It is the spiritual body. The flesh body is corruptible ,shameful and weak while the spiritual body is incorruptible, glorious and powerful.

But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” ...So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. (1 Corinthians15:35,42-43 NKJV)

Today, what God promise to us is the salvation of souls to keep our spirit away from death while our flesh body will still die. How do God fulfil it? It is by preparing us the immortal spiritual body as the everlasting house for immortal spirit.

receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.(1 Peter1:9 NKJV)

The death of Jesus is the death of His flesh. And he resurrected with the spiritual body. Spiritual body had great power like angel which could even remove the mountains, overturn the seas, fly and change its image. The spiritual body of Jesus prepared with hand only fish and food for His disciples beside the river after his resurrection. He could appear among disciples and disappear promptly since the spiritual body is full of power like that of angel. Body is the dwelling and cover of our soul. In this earth, we have flesh body. In the heaven, we will have spiritual body. Upon our resurrection, God give us spiritual body which is strong, glorious, incorruptible and immortal.

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. ...We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. (2 Corinthians5:1-4,8-9 NKJV)
