[Understanding of receiving the Holy Spirit] Correct various misconceptions about receiving the Holy Spirit and correctly understand the truth of receiving the Holy Spirit according to the Bible

1,Lost Sheep believer Jedidiah: Ephesians 1:13 "You also believed in Christ, having heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation, and having believed in him you were sealed with the Promise of the Holy Spirit."

Once we have faith in god's true word, we receive the promised of the Holy Spirit which is the evidence of the saints' inheritance.

It is right that receiving the Holy Spirit is the proof of inheritance. But it is not necessarily that believers receive the Holy Spirit immediately the moment when they believe the truth. You can't read the Bible out of context. We need look at the cause and result. This verse is Paul's letter to the Ephesians after he left Ephesian. Paul told the Ephesians that you received the Holy Spirit because you received the word of truth. Instead of they receiving the word from Paul, they immediately receive the Holy Spirit.

Look at Acts 19. Why didn't the Ephesians receive the Holy Spirit at the beginning when they received the word?

Paul said, "John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in him who would come after him, that is, in Jesus." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. True Jesus Church: It is the recipient of the Holy Spirit who will have all kinds of spiritual gifts. Like curing diseases and driving away ghosts. But not whoever owing a spiritual gift has received the Holy Spirit. Seventy healers and drive out demons. Why did they not receive the Holy Spirit?

Just like that people who own a house have a house to dwell in, but does having a house to stay means you own the house?

Do not confuse between receiving the Holy Spirit with being touched by the Spirit. Do not wrongly regard being touched by the Spirit as receiving the Holy Spirit.

True Jesus Church: The devil does do miracles. Miracles do not necessarily lead to truth. But is there truth to be confirmed by signs and wonders? Does the Holy Spirit perform greater miracles than the devil? And overcome the signs of the devil? Do signs and wonders accompany and confirm the truth? "And these signs will follow those who believe, and in my name they will cast out demons. Speak a new dialect; . And they went out, and preached the Gospel everywhere. 5,Jedidiah: Preaching the true teaching and the speaking of tongues is only a gift. Miracles like driving out demons, everyone owns it more or less, but we cannot judge a man by his appearance, but by his word.

True Jesus Church: It is true that the word is the most important. But signs and wonders confirm the truth. There are signs and wonders, not necessarily truth. But where there is faith, there must be signs and wonders to prove it. The Holy Spirit heals and drives out demons. But they that heal, and cast out devils, do not mean they have received the Holy Spirit. You're confusing the difference between being touched by the Holy Spirit and receiving the Holy Spirit. Why do seventy people have healers and drive out demons, but they have not received the Holy Spirit?

But speaking in tongues as a gift of salvation, everyone must speak in tongues. If no one interprets the tongue, he speaks in a tongue to himself and to God. If you cannot speak in tongues, how can you speak in tongues to God and to yourself? Paul said, I pray in a tongue, but my spirit prays. I will pray with my mind, but also with my spirit. "If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What about this?
